Mayor, Councilmembers, and HART officials to travel to San Francisco to discuss recovery plan progress with Federal Transit Administration

A delegation of city and HART officials are scheduled to travel to San Francisco, California for a meeting with Federal Transit Administration officials to discuss a recovery plan for the Honolulu rail project on Tuesday, August 30, 2016.
Scheduled to attend the meeting are Mayor Kirk Caldwell, Honolulu City Council Chair Ernest Y. Martin and Councilmember Joey Manahan, Honolulu Authority for Rapid Transportation (HART) Board of Directors Chair Colleen Hanabusa and member Damien Kim, and HART Acting Executive Director Michael Formby. They will meet with Federal Transit Administration officials from Washington, D.C. and Region 9, San Francisco.
Budget and Fiscal Services Director Nelson Koyanagi will serve as Acting Mayor while Mayor Caldwell is out of state from Monday morning, August 29 through Tuesday evening, August 30.
