"Speaking with Charles, he didn’t promise me anything—he was honest, he wanted to find out more about what unions are doing…and you know what, it is for the working people, it is for our community. And hearing that from him…having an open door policy, being able to call him…that was the open-minded feeling I had and really appreciate."

Damien Kim is the leader of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 1186, in Hawaii. He is also the Vice-Chair of the Honolulu rail board. Damien backs Charles for mayor to bring honest leadership to Honolulu Hale. The IBEW, Local 1186, supported Kirk Caldwell for mayor in both 2010 and 2012. This 2016 election, however, after having seen Caldwell in ‘action’ as mayor, Damien and the IBEW have thrown their support firmly behind Charles.
Will you join us too? Charles Djou is building a broad, diverse coalition of labor unions and businesses to restore trust to City Hall. You can do something today by volunteering, donating or connecting with Djou for Mayor.
