Djou for Mayor Releases Its First Campaign Finance Report

Ness Release from Djou Campaign July 14, 2016

Honolulu, HI - The Djou for Mayor campaign will file its first campaign finance report today with the Hawaii State Campaign Spending Commission.

Djou for Mayor will report having raised $259,386 in contributions and approximately $250,140 cash-on-hand for the 23 day period from the campaign's announcement on June 7, 2016, through the filing deadline of June 30, 2016.  Although the reporting period covers the six month period between January 1 and June 30, 2016, Charles only announced he was running on June 7, 2016.

"Our campaign is happy with this strong campaign finance report that shows over a quarter-of-a-million dollars raised in just over three-weeks," stated Jon Kunimura, Djou for Mayor campaign spokesperson.  "This exceptionally strong fundraising total for such a short period of time reflects the clear desire by our community for new leadership at Honolulu Hale."

Charles Djou represented Hawaii's 1st Congressional District in the U.S. House and previously served on the Honolulu City Council and Hawaii State House.  Djou is an Army Reservist and Afghanistan war veteran.  He is married to Stacey Kawasaki Djou and together they have three children.
