What a Difference One Month Makes

Message to Supporters,   July 7, 2016

It is hard to believe, but today marks exactly one month since the start of the Djou for Mayor campaign.

In this one short month, our campaign:

Mahalo to all of you for supporting our growing campaign - it is only because of you that we have been able to accomplish so much in so little time.

It is because of the strength of our campaign's message that we earned the support of several key Democrats including retired Judge and former Democratic Party Chair Walter Heen, Gov. Ben Cayetano and City Councilmember Ann Kobayashi.

You can feel the momentum building in our campaign with the endorsements by multiple labor unions including the Plumbers, IBEW, Elevator Contractors and Insulator unions.  These same unions not only had supported the incumbent mayor in the last election, but were actually the very first unions to support the mayor when he initially ran for mayor in 2010.  Having seen the City in the hands of the incumbent, they are "disappointed" and now actively support our campaign to restore trust at Honolulu Hale.

It is hard to remember any political campaign in modern Hawaii history that has gotten off to as strong a start and built momentum as quickly as our campaign has.  For this, we want to thank you.  It is only because of your support that we have been able to achieve so much.

Please remind your family and friends that it is critically important to vote in the Primary Election on August 13th. This election can be won in the Primary with 50% of the vote, but many don't know that.  Please share how important this is election is by talking to your family and friends, emailing them and sharing on Facebook and other social media.

If we can accomplish all of this as just a candidate, imagine how much we can do as mayor!

Aloha,

Team Djou
