Bills that Passed First Crossover

News Release from Rep Beth Fukumoto Chang March 11, 2016

The Legislative Session has just reached first crossover. The House and Senate debated nearly 200 third reading bills each on Tuesday.

So far this session, 356 bills in the House and 350 bills in the Senate have crossed over into the other Chamber. Click here for a list of some of the key bills that passed the House and crossed over into the Senate. I supported many, but not all of the measures.

Millennial Monday

As a part of Millennial Monday on March 14th, I will be participating in an online town hall held by The Young Invincibles and Indivisible on Twitter.

I will be joined by several of my fellow Millennial legislators from around the country and together we will be answering questions and providing suggestions to young people on how to become civically engaged. To follow and participate in the conversation, use the hashtag: #millennialmon

Olaloa Retirement Community

It was great to sit down and talk with the residents of the Olaloa Retirement Community this past Wednesday. We discussed a variety of topics including: the House bills which have crossed over into the Senate, Kupuna issues, reiterated my opposition to the proposed vehicle tax increase, and listened to residents’ concerns and questions regarding a wide range of community issues.
