Tulsi Gabbard, a Hawaii Democrat and DNC vice-chair, announced on Meet the Press this morning that she is resigning her position so she can support Bernie Sanders.
Gabbard explained to Chuck Todd that as a veteran she knows the true costs of war, and said we need a Commander-in-Chief with “foresight” and “good judgment.” And yes, she believes that Sanders has the military mindset to be able to make the right decisions for the United States’ national security.
Gabbard has, in her position at the DNC, sharply dissented with DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman-Schultz in the past and even questioned her leadership. Watch above, via NBC.
