Office of Economic Development Program Grant request for proposals now open

Honolulu – The Mayor’s Office of Economic Development (OED) is requesting proposals for the 2016 OED Grant Program. The deadline to submit proposals is Friday, December 18, 2015 at 4:00 p.m. Hawaiʻi Standard Time (HST).
OED is requesting proposals from community groups seeking support for projects that stimulate economic opportunities, strengthen the unique character of Oʻahu’s diverse ethnic communities, and improve the quality of life of our residents.
OED grants are awarded to organizations located in the City and County of Honolulu that are registered as a non-profit organization in the State of Hawaii. These grants are intended to benefit people on the Island of Oʻahu by supporting activities that promote diversity and growth within Oʻahu’s economy. Grant support is intended for partial funding of a project as a means of encouraging collaboration with the community and local businesses. Applicants may request an award of no more than $20,000.
