After years of financial insolvency, the Hawaii Health Systems Corporation, which operates our state hospitals, is plagued with lay-offs and closures.  Medical services for thousands of Hawaii residents, many of them in poverty, are now threatened. 

Governor Ige recently signed a bill allowing successful private hospital operators to bid for a lease agreement to operate the hospitals on Maui.  Our panel of experts will address the possibilities and challenges ahead.
