The Department of the Interior is extending the comment period an additional 30 days for the proposed rule governing how under current Federal law we process and review State of Hawai‘i proposed land exchanges involving Hawaiian home lands and State of Hawai‘i proposed amendments to the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act. The result of the extension is that the original due date for comments to be received has moved from July 13, 2015, to August 12, 2015.
The Federal Register notice discussing the extension is set to publish on Monday, July 13, 2015, and the regulations.gov docket receiving comments should reflect the extended comment deadline on that same day. Interested parties may still submit comments on-line and view the docket, including the proposed rule and submitted comments, through regulations.gov at: http://www.regulations.gov/#!documentDetail;D=DOI-2015-0002-0001.

DOI EXTENDS PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD TO AUGUST 12

The Department of the Interior announced earlier this week that it is extending the comment period for the proposed rule governing land exchanges involving Hawaiian home lands and amendments to the Hawaiian Homes Commission Act proposed by the State of Hawaii until August 12, 2015.
