Voting for 2015 Neighborhood Board elections ends tomorrow

News Release from City and County of Honolulu May 14, 2015

HONOLULU – The last day to vote for the 2015 Neighborhood Board elections is tomorrow, Friday, May 15. Ballots must be cast by 11:59 p.m.

As of 1:30 p.m. today, nearly 18,500 digital ballots have been cast in the 2015 Neighborhood Board elections. This number surpasses previous records set in 2013 for both the total digital ballots cast (15,318 in 2013) and ballot return rate (8.61% v 9.47%).

Eligible voters were mailed passcodes they may use to access their digital ballots; Voters who lost their passcodes may request a replacement be mailed to them by contacting the Neighborhood Commission Office at 768-3717 or nco@honolulu.gov.

During this voting period, the city will also make computers available to the public to use to vote in the election at these locations:

  • Mission Memorial Building (next door to Honolulu Hale) second floor from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
  • Kapolei Hale’s Conference Room A, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays.
  • The KEY project in Kahalu‘u at 47-200 Waihe‘e Road from 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.

Election results will be announced shortly after voting concludes. Newly elected board members will assume office on July 1, 2015. Neighborhood Board advise all levels of government on the desires of their respective neighborhoods.
