Media Advisory: Aiona-Ahu Campaign Releases a Hawai‘i-changing Policy Book

News Release from Aiona-Ahu Campaign

(October 22, 2014) On the same day that James R. “Duke” Aiona & his running mate Elwin Ahu cast their early, walk-in votes at Honolulu Hale, they also cast an equally impacting vote for Hawai‘i’s future in their 2014 Policy Book.

“I have a vision for Hawai‘i,” Duke Aiona begins boldly, “I have a dream that one day Hawai‘i will be a place where future generations can live, work and play without the highest cost of living in the country.”

The “roadmap” includes eight key initiatives: Cost of Living, Affordable Housing, Homelessness, Education, Agriculture, Kupuna Care, Energy and Jobs & Economy. Each one is ready to roll out on Day One of the Aiona-Ahu administration.

“Duke is already a change agent who brings distinctive innovation,” said Dewey Arakawa, Aiona’s campaign manager, “these are detailed plans and solutions that you just don’t see with any other candidate. We’re proud of the collaborative efforts as well as creativity and research that our Policy Team and many experts in each field brought to the table to produce this ‘roadmap’ for a renewed Hawai‘i.”

The Aiona-Ahu Policy Book is available free for all of Hawai‘i’s residents on the worldwide web @ www.DukeAiona.com. Or click on the following link: http://www.dukeaiona.com/2014/10/perspectives-2014-policy-statements-initiatives/
