Mark Takai Flip-Flops on Military Cuts
News Release from NRCC October 10, 2014
At a debate last night, Mark Takai flip-flopped and changed his position on military funding. When asked about military spending, Takai clearly said “we’re not going to cut military spending. I don’t support that.”
But, according to his own campaign website, Takai states, “We must make responsible, reasonable cuts to defense spending.”
Which one is it?
Tyler Q. Houlton, NRCC Spokesman says: “Mark Takai will mislead voters and say anything to get elected. Hawaii’s military men and women deserve a Congressman who has their best interests in mind at all times, and that’s not Mark Takai.”
