Department of Community Services to hold GIA workshops

Honolulu – The Department of Community Services (DCS) will host two workshops to assist non-profit organizations with applying for grants offered by the City and County of Honolulu.
The workshops will provide an overview of city grants available to non-profit organizations as well as explain the Grants in Aid (GIA) fund, in detail, highlighting key dates and items in the GIA process. Participants will have a forum to ask questions and provide input on the GIA process. General grant writing tips will also be shared.
GIA are used by nonprofits who serve economically and socially disadvantaged populations or provide services for public benefit in the areas of arts, culture, economic development or the environment.
Workshops will be held at Mission Memorial Hearings Room from 6 – 8 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30 and Thursday, October 2. Space is limited. Those interested in attending are requested to RSVP at 768-7761.
