Sutton Endorses Aiona-Ahu Ticket
By News Release @ 10:59 PM :: 5643 Views :: Politicians, Republican Party

News Release from Warner Kimo Sutton, former GOP Lt Governor Candidate August 22, 2014

The team of Duke Aiona and Ahu was endorsed today by Kimo Sutton, former GOP candidate for Lt. Governor, leading up to the unity meeting at Kapiolani bandstand on Saturday.

After a competitive primary the low turnout has been accepted by the Elections Commission with many questions about the office of elections chief, his conduct and the mixed messages at todays Commission meeting.

The team of Aiona and Ahu both with Hawaiian blood go up against other candidates of several other ethnicities. They have a great positive approach to gathering wide support and standing up when asked to debate or speak to groups. Sutton Wants all his supports to unite and help Aiona win.

At today’s gubernatorial forum, Aiona and two other gubernatorial candidates gave positions on issues while Sen. Ige, not known as a strong speaker, pulled out even after weeks of his team working and accepting all the conditions.

It was Ige’s opponent Gov. Abercrombie who would not debate at the last weeks leading up to the election. This a negative for Ige as his strategy and style he will present in months to come.

Today Aiona stressed lowering the cost of living and returning trust and respect to the highest state office of Hawaii. He has expressed today many positions that Ige does not have on the record. This first debate showed the knowledge by Duke and his likable personality as the leading candidate in all polls. He is for an exemption for the high cost of shipping while Mufi supports the status quo of high cost.

Saturday from 3-5pm at a Kapiolani Bandstand Lokahi Rally the party candidates and supporters will gather and entertainment from two groups is slated. Free and open.
