TAKE THE BEST, DISCARD THE REST
News Release from Cavasso Campaign August 17, 2014
GOP Candidate for U.S. Senate, Cam Cavasso, supports HMSA for pulling out of Hawaii Health Connector, and adds “Bravo!…to HSMA for taking the lead in pulling out of the Health Connector for business coverage. HMSA is making a wise and necessary decision that benefits Hawaii, as Hawaii’s health care system was already the best in the nation.”
Cam Cavasso believes that the Affordable Care Act should be repealed. Cavasso adds “Take the best from the Affordable Care Act and discard the rest. One item from the Affordable Care Act I believe should be placed into a new bill is allowing children who live at home to remain on their parents insurance until 26 years of age. Additionally, we should give individuals, entrepreneurs and the unemployed the same access to health care that businesses, government and unions have…Let’s give equal access to health care.”
Cam Cavasso has been a financial advisor in Hawaii for more than two decades and can recognize an unsound investment in the connectors. “HMSA does not have unlimited funds to channel into a system that is, unfortunately, not working. Leaders should put aside their bipartisanship politics and remember that it is taxpayers’ monies being used to prop up the connectors.” says Cavasso.
“I also commend and praise HMSA which already covered pre-existing conditions pursuant to the HIPAA laws prior to the Affordable Care Act.” adds Cam Cavasso, GOP Candidate for U.S. Senate.
