DJOU RECEIVES ENDORSEMENT BY VETERANS IN POLITICS INTERNATIONAL
News Release from Djou Campaign July 23, 2014
Last week, Veterans in Politics International held a forum at the Oahu Veterans' Center in Foster Village. Almost all of the candidates running for the open seat in Hawaii's 1st Congressional District attended this forum. After having had the opportunity to review and hear directly from all of the candidates, Veterans in Politics endorsed Charles Djou for Congress.
"As a vet, I am honored to have received the endorsement of Veterans in Politics International," stated Djou. "I am fighting hard to give Hawaii at a seat at the majority caucus table with some level of seniority. The scandal plaguing the VA in Hawaii is one of several problems I am ready to tackle from day one in Congress and am honored so many vets and Hawaii residents have joined together to support my campaign."
The forum can be watched at: http://livestre.am/4TOKJ. Every candidate running for this open seat, including the one non-partisan candidate, attended this forum, except for Republican candidate Allan Levene and Democrat candidate Ikaika Anderson.
Djou represented Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District from 2010 to 2011. Djou previously served as a Honolulu City Councilmember and State Representative.
