DJOU CAMPAIGN RAISES $435,000 IN SECOND QUARTER; HOLDS OVER $400,000 CASH-ON-HAND
News Release from Djou Campaign July 14, 2014
Former Hawaii Congressman Charles K. Djou filed his quarterly financial report with the Federal Election Commission today, a day ahead of schedule. Because Djou has only been running for three months, this is the first official campaign finance report by Djou's campaign.
The Djou campaign reported having raised approximately $435,000 for the quarter and holds $401,260.82 cash-on-hand for the remainder of the campaign.
The median donation to the Djou campaign was $100 and 88% of the donations came from Hawaii contributors.
“This financial report is a reflection of the breadth and depth of Charles Djou's congressional campaign," stated former State Rep. Barbara Marumoto, Djou's campaign manager. "We are not taking anything for granted, however, and will continue to push hard all the way to the general election. Our volunteers, donors and the people of Hawaii are excited to return Charles to Congress to give Hawaii a seat at the majority caucus table and some level of desperately needed seniority in DC."
Djou represented Hawaii’s 1st Congressional District from 2010 to 2011. Djou previously served as a Honolulu City Councilmember and State Representative.
