News Release from TEA Party Maui September 1, 2013
TEA Party Maui is proud to announce that it has pledged $1000 to Hillsdale College in Hillsdale, Michigan to assist in the College’s endeavor to raise $178,250 in matching funds for a scholarship which would provide full tuition for a deserving student from Hawaii.
Hillsdale College’s Hawaiian Liberty Endowed Scholarship was established in response to a challenge grant of $178,250 offered by an anonymous donor from Hawaii. The success of the Endowed Scholarship Fund depends now on Hillsdale College’s ability to raise matching funds from individual donors like you.
When fully funded, this scholarship will enable a young man or woman from Hawaii to study constitutional government within the framework of the classical liberal arts. As part of this program, the student would have the opportunity to intern during the summer in the home office of Hawaii State Senator Sam Slom, a longtime friend of Hillsdale.
If you wish to donate to this scholarship, please contact Hillsdale at 800-334-8904 and mention the Hawaiian Liberty Endowed Scholarship. Your donation would not only assist students from Hawaii, but would also support Hillsdale College in its mission to “Pursue Truth and Defend Liberty.”
Mahalo for your support and donations!
