Will Christians in Hawaii be Targeted Because of of their Religious Beliefs?
By Hawaii Family Forum @ 4:46 PM :: 4820 Views :: Family

Dear Friend of the Ohana:    July 9, 2013

By now you have been inundated with newspaper articles detailing the same-sex marriage issue and its current status.  I'm also positive that your friends and family have discussed the issue around the dinner table.  I am also sure you have had some heart-wrenching debates with people on both side of the issue.  I know I have!

Right here in Hawaii our legislators are deciding whether or not they should conduct a special session to redefine marriage.  For some people, the establishment of civil unions in Hawaii was an acceptable compromise, but, as we have continued to state publicly, it was not enough.

CALL TO ACTION:  If you believe that marriage is a sacred institution between one man and one woman, then please take a moment to raise your voice.  Legislators are elected by the people to represent the people.  Our Constitution calls it the consent of the governed.

If you have not done so already, click here to send a personalized message to your State Representative and Senator.  You will be taken to a page that will allow you send a message to your own representative and senator.  You don't even have to know who they are - the system will connect you based on your address.

Your legislator may already support same-sex marriage and you may already know that; however, that doesn't mean you should stay silent.  Christians across the country are increasingly becoming targets because of their "intolerance."  In Hawaii, it is already happening and it could get worse.

May the Lord continue to hold us in the palm of His hand as our nation grows more and more divided over this issue.  Truly, I pray that as Christians, we remain Christ-like and always act in love while standing strong on our biblical worldview.

We are praying for you!
