Rail 'Solution': Hammer Waikiki Hotels

Dear Legislators,

This last ditch to hammer Waikiki hotels to fund the rail fiasco is an outrage.

And who is making this big push? None other than leading OUTER ISLAND legislators! That's right, the Big Island, Kauai and Maui want to tax Oahu and snag a percentage for themselves in the process.

Representative Luke, Senators Tokuda and Mercado Kim are right and the balance of the Oahu legislative delegation should protect its constituency and stop this heinous wrong. Speaker Souki, President Kouchi, Senator Inouye and all the rest are WAY out of line. The legislative bodies have a duty to step up.

This is an example of a conference committee tyranny at its absolute worst. So-called "leadership," still in the wake of a tsunami of lies and deceit by the Honolulu administration and HART, meets in the dark of night to enact a big money grab.

And the government union bosses are smiling all the way.

There will come a day when the public will stand and stop this abuse if you will not.
