The Neighborhood Boards serve as a conduit between the community and their local government. They are a key component in communicating the community needs and desires regarding government services, economic development and land use questions. The Boards are advisory in nature and comment on issues including capital improvements and zoning concerns.

There are 33 active Neighborhood Boards in the City and County of Honolulu with nearly 430 total seats.

Voting for the election will be conducted online, however, those wanting a paper ballot or more information on the election should contact the Neighborhood Commission Office at: NCO LINK or call (808) 768-3710.

Founded in 1973, the mission of a Neighborhood Board is to increase and assure effective citizen participation in the decisions of government.
