(Honolulu) Sept. 9, 2022, Mr. King is proud to announce that he has received the Official Endorsement of his candidacy for Office of Hawaiian Affairs (OHA) Trustee-At Large, Hawaii, from the State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers.

The State of Hawaii Organization of Police Officers (SHOPO) represents over 2,700 police officers of the Honolulu, Maui, Kauai, and Hawaii Police departments.  SHOPO members work to promote local, state, and federal policies that protect public safety within the communities they live and serve in.SHOPO represents those that risk their lives everyday to keep our islands safe, and strives to work in partnership with community members because together we can build stronger and safer neighborhoods.

“I am proud to announce that SHOPO has endorsed our campaign for the Office of Hawaiian Affairs! I am proud to stand with our men and women in blue who work hard every day to keep our community safe. Mahalo nui loa to SHOPO for their support!” said Sam King in a statement this past Labor Day.

Sam King was born and raised on O ahu and comes from a long tradition of service to the people of Hawaii. His reat Grandfather, Samuel Wilder King, was the first Native Hawaiian Governor of Hawaii. His Grandfather, Judge Samuel P. King, was instrumental in exposing the Bishop Estate corruption in Broken Trust. His parents have served the community for decades, and now Sam continues his family’s legacy of improving the fortunes of Hawaii’s people and preserving the culture of Hawaii.
