20 year anniversary congratulations video | Grassroot Institute of Hawaii
A good time was had by all
from Grassroot Institute, March 11, 2022
The Grassroot Institute of Hawaii's 20th Anniversary Gala was sold out and, just as we promised, the several hundred attendees were treated to good food, inspirational speakers, terrific entertainment and great camaraderie. Too bad we can't have a 20th anniversary gala every year.
Multiple Nā Hōkū Hanohano award-winning band Maunalua tuned up as Institute President Keli'i Akina delivered his final official remarks for the evening.
Featured speaker Matt Kibbe, above, joked about being an economist having to follow a comedy act; specifically, Da Braddahs, below right, aka James Roache (with cap) and Tony Silva. Below left, emcee and KSSK morning radio host Michael W. Perry kept the program moving and generated laughter as well.
Institute Chairman Robin Stueber, center, socialized with gala guests and also delivered an inspirational speech in which she shared some of her memories of the institute's late founder, Richard "Dick" Rowland, whom she considered a mentor.
