Legislature to Resume Awarding Grants-In-Aid

Honolulu, Hawai'i - After a two-year suspension due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Hawai'i State Legislature has decided to resume awarding Grants-in-Aid (GIA) for the 2022 Legislative Session. In 2019, the most recent year that GIA were awarded, 155 grants were awarded totaling $10,495,000 in operating grants and $19,946,000 in Capital Improvement Projects (CIP) grants.

Applications must be submitted to the Legislature by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, January 21, 2022.
