Hawaii Needs Emergency Economic CPR
From Stan the Energy Man, Feb. 3, 2021
Hawaii has seen two of it’s top three economic “pillars” collapse over the past two decades.
Pineapple and sugarcane are gone, tourism has hit a major setback due to Covid shutdowns, and the last pillar, the U.S. military (shipyard, tens of thousands of service members and civilian employees, construction and transient military bring jobs and business to Hawaii) is all that’s left to anchor much of our local economy.
We’ll discuss the causes and the potential impact to the State, then discuss how clean energy can help Hawaii get into the “Black”.
