VIDEOS: Flotilla “Peace Activists” chant “Oh Jews, the army of Mohammad will return.”

VIDEO: On the boat, the “peace activists” chant the popular Islamic battle cry, "khaiber khaiber ya yahood jaish muhammed saya'ud".

Khaibar was the last Jewish village defeated by Muhammad's army in 628. The battle marked the end of Jewish presence in Arabia.

Remember, they’re just piece activists.  Some are two-pieces activists, and others are many-tiny-little-pieces activists.

Tracy Nakano Bean: “Hawaii Legislature has never met a tax it didn’t like”
By News Release @ 10:31 AM :: 8644 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment

“Hawaii needs legislators that understand that the States created the Federal Government and that the Tenth Amendment exists to ensure that Hawaii is run by the people of Hawaii and not entrenched politicians half a world away. Hawaii needs leadership to say that we will not give up our state sovereignty and individual liberty for a few dollars more and courage to make hard decisions like cutting taxes and admitting that government shouldn’t be responsible for every aspect of our lives from cradle to grave."

Aiona: “I am committed to making Hawaii the greenest place on Earth”

Djou: “With Ed gone, we are alone in being voice for mainstream in Hawaii”
By News Release @ 1:22 PM :: 10009 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics

This weekend, however, the forces who want Hawaii's government to maintain the failed status quo consolidated their opposition to our campaign at the Democrat Party convention.  This is not unexpected. We never thought the establishment would simply give up without a fight - they have too much to lose.

I personally wish Ed Case well.  However, with Ed gone from this race, we are alone in being the voice for the mainstream across Hawaii. I look forward to this critical fight for Hawaii's families against entrenched special interests.

Jobs: Tax-n-spend policies favored by Hanabusa fail to deliver
By News Release @ 1:12 PM :: 9755 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics

Washington- A temporary boost in government hiring has padded jobs numbers for the month of May, but the 9.7 percent unemployment rate belies just how badly the runaway spending agenda pushed by Colleen Hanabusa’s Democrat friends has failed Hawaii families. The spike in jobs is simply a reflection of over 410,000 new census workers being added to the government’s payrolls at the taxpayers’ expense.

Hawaii Republican Assembly: Home to Hawaii’s moderate Republicans?

Meeting in convention at the Hilton Hawaiian Village May 15, Hawaii Republicans voted overwhelmingly in favor of a resolution expressing opposition to House Bill 444gay civil unions.  The smattering of opposition came from a surprising quarter: Paul Smith and his Hawaii Republican Assembly (HiRA).

HiRA, founded in 2009,  bills itself as “The Republican wing of the Republican Party” and the casual observer may view HiRA as a conservative group.  But HiRA’s website refers to the group specifically as “A home for Hawaii fiscal conservatives.” (emphasis added)

Time to Change Course in the Middle East
By Heritage Foundation @ 6:30 PM :: 7989 Views :: Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics, World News, Family

Early Monday morning in the international waters of the Mediterranean Sea, helicopters lowered Israeli Commandos onto a Turkish-flagged ferry carrying 600 passengers determined to break Israel's blockade of Gaza. Beset by activists armed with poles, knives and guns, the Israelis defended themselves, and the resulting violence left at least nine dead. Hours later, the International Atomic Energy Agency released a report claiming that Iran now has enough nuclear fuel, with further enrichment, to make two nuclear weapons. These two stories are not unrelated. And they ought to serve as a signal to the Obama administration that it is time to change its approach to the region.

Gaza: Violence and Humanitarian Aid
By IPT News @ 2:18 PM :: 13150 Views :: Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics, World News, Family

Was it, as some suggest, the plan of flotilla organizers all along?

It's worth remembering why the aid was being transported by sea in the first place. A convoy led by then-British MP George Galloway (Bought and paid for by Saddam Hussein via oil for food scam--AW) ended in violence at the Egyptian-Gaza border in early January after authorities delayed their entry into Gaza.

An Egyptian police officer was shot and killed by Hamas gunmen. Egypt deported Galloway, made it clear he was unwelcome there again, and told the convoy it could no longer enter through its crossing. Galloway's partner in that convoy was the Turkish-based International Humanitarian Relief Foundation (IHH), which helped lead the flotilla.

Lingle: Hawaii economy recovering thanks to collaboration and sacrifice
By Gov. Linda Lingle @ 11:06 PM :: 7091 Views :: Energy, Environment

All of us in Hawai‘i have been deeply impacted by the global recession. We’ve had to make tough decisions and sacrifices– in government, in business and in our households – to deal with the impacts that began hitting our economy in mid-2008.

In true Hawai‘i fashion, our state pulled together to tackle these difficult issues.  It has not been an easy task, and there have been disagreements, even heated debate, along the way.  But for the most part, we have remained focused on being fiscally responsible, turning our economy around, getting our residents back to work, and setting the foundation for a stronger future.

Over the past few weeks, we have been seeing the positive results of this collaboration and sacrifice. ...

DLNR: State Water Commission decision balances competing demands
By News Release @ 9:16 PM :: 10061 Views :: Kauai County, DHHL, Energy, Environment

The Commission’s decision also strongly emphasized responsible management of public trust resources.  The Commission ordered Maui County to begin construction within three years to fix the extremely leaky Waikamoi Flume to eliminate waste and provide a more reliable water source for Upcountry domestic and agricultural uses.  Commissioners stated that Maui County needs to develop alternative water sources, conservation and reclamation for water supplies.  Maui County relies upon stream water for approximately 85 percent of its water needs for the Upcountry system.  Due to long-term drought, this is a precarious position for the people of Maui and the County needs to shift the balance of water supply to more reliable sources that do not come at the expense of Hawaii's resources and downstream users of these same waters.

Kaauwai: Hannemann is train wreck for Hawaii
By Jonah Ka`auwai @ 7:26 PM :: 8982 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment

“Hannemann has raised property taxes, sewer fees, admission fees, motor vehicle fees, parking meter rates and pushed for the general excise tax increase. Under his watch, Honolulu was named the 2nd most expensive city to do business in.  He is leaving office early to campaign for Governor, and he's given no guarantee that he will not jump ship again to run for U.S. Senate in 2012.

“Hawai’i can expect the same reckless leadership, strong-arming from the old guard Democrat network and closed-door bargaining with public labor union bosses at the state level with Hannemann as Hawai’i’s governor.

“This November, Republican candidates will be the voices of bold leadership and change Hawai’i needs.  We are confident in the leadership of Lt. Cook Political Report: "Hawaii Democrats are a mess"
By News Release @ 12:51 PM :: 10523 Views :: Maui County, Education K-12, Energy, Environment, National News, Ethics

Hawaii will hold the latest primary in the nation on September 18th. And just because only one Democrat will emerge to face Djou on that date doesn’t mean Hawaii Democrats’ civil war will end. In fact, the finger-pointing taking place in local Democratic circles could produce an even larger, more fractured field of candidates in the primary, leaving Democrats with little time to repair bruised egos and allowing Djou to stay far above the fray as the fall campaign season begins. Only one Republican holds a more Democratic seat than Djou, and Djou will be a top target, but Democrats have their work cut out for them. President Bush’s 47 percent share here in 2004 and GOP Gov. Linda Lingle’s big majorities in 2002 and 2006 show that HI-01 is open to voting for the right kind of Republican, especially when Democrats are a mess.

National Democrats portray Dan Inouye as Republican plaything

(So it is the Republicans who got Inouye and Akaka all riled up over this.  Perhaps the DCCC agrees with Ed Case's assessment of the Senators' mental faculties?)

In one instance Djou media advisor Ben Burger worked with NRCC officials to craft a 30-second TV ad that asserted Case missed many votes “while campaigning against Senator Akaka.”
