‘20 Minutes’ Movie - Atheist and Believer Face Final Twenty Minutes of Their Life

PRESS RELEASE

HONOLULU, HI / ACCESSWIRE / March 20, 2023 / An atheist and a Believer grapple with a nuclear bomb heading to Hawaii in the movie '20 Minutes' that hits theaters on March 24, 2023.

The director, Tim Chey, is a former atheist. A Harvard alumnus, Chey was a successful litigation attorney working for two of the largest LA law firms when he stumbled upon a leaf bug.

The bug was shaped like a leaf to protect itself. This brought Chey on the road to believing God exists and later surrendering his life to Christ. He became a filmmaker and has directed over 15 movies.

"Sue and I both got the missile warning in Hawaii," says Chey, "but we remained calm because God is in control. If we die, we go to heaven. And no one wants to be on this earth one minute too long if you're a Believer."

The false missile warning set the director on a path pitting different characters together including an atheist with a Believer; a Republican with a Democrat; a White nationalist with a Black sergeant; and the result makes for a stunning movie. The film premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in Cannes, France and received critical acclaim in further screenings in NYC and LA.

The film also screened at Calvary Chapel Honolulu and many came to Christ at the altar call at the end of the movie.

"It's an incredibly powerful movie," said one pastor in attendance, "and it's no wonder so many people came to Christ. The film shows tomorrow is guaranteed to no one."

Chey adds, "I think it also brings tremendous closure to all of us who got that false missile warning because it could have been real. Everyone was given a second chance that day. It was God's hand at work for the people of Hawaii."

Theaters playing the film starting Friday, March 24, 2023 (5 showings a day) with a special preview screening on Thursday, March 23, 2023 include:

Consolidated Ward 16 Regal Dole Cannery

Consolidated Pearlridge Regal Pearl Highlands

Consolidated Miliani Regal Kapolei Commons

Consolidated Kahala Regal Windward

The cast and director of '20 Minutes' will be in the lobby to answer questions after the 7 pm screening at Consolidated Ward 16 (Honolulu, Hawaii) theater on Friday, March 24, 2023. The first 7 pm theater sold out with one day so the theater opened a second 7 pm theater.

The red-carpet premiere will be at 6:30 pm. The event is open to the public. A large turn-out is expected, so get your tickets early.

The cast and director/producers will also have another meet and greet on Saturday, March 25, 2023 at Consolidated Kapolei starting at 7 pm.
