City accepting resumes for Executive Director, Office of Housing and Homelessness

HONOLULU – The office of Mayor Rick Blangiardi is accepting applications for the vacant position of Executive Director, Office of Housing and Homelessness (HOU).

HOU is responsible for coordinating and directing the development, preparation, and implementation of plans and programs relating to affordable housing and homelessness and the functions of the City and County relating to affordable housing and homelessness. Additionally, this agency coordinates City and County activities and programs relating to affordable housing and homeless with state, federal, non-governmental, and private partners.

The successful candidate must have leadership skills and experience, passion, and demonstrated expertise on these issues, be able to work effectively with varied internal and external stakeholder groups and be goal and task-focused. This individual will be able to identify and hire supporting staff and will report directly to the Managing Director.
