Hawaii: Weddings Cost More Than Any Other State

How much do different states spend on weddings?

How much does the average wedding cost in each state?

The average couple in the United States spent roughly $25,000 on their wedding in 2018, according to The Wedding Report, Inc., a research company that collects and forecasts wedding data in the United States for couples and businesses alike. Alabama couples spent just $17,000, the second-lowest mark in the country behind Mississippi. Couples there spent $15,000 on weddings in 2018.

In general, couples in the South spend significantly less on weddings. New Englanders and those from other East Coast states like New York and New Jersey tend to spend much more, along with couples from states on the West Coast.

Couples in Hawaii spent the most, on average, out of any state. The average wedding there cost $37,827 in 2018….
